GoDaddy alternative

Domain, site, email, add-ons. All in one GoDaddy account.

Most GoDaddy accounts we see grew a product at a time, and now nobody is sure which charge does what. We sort out the website, the email, and the domain, then host the site on cPanel in Ohio with one monthly bill.

Untangle it once.

GoDaddy is one of the best-known names in domains, and a lot of small businesses started there. The calls we get are rarely about the hosting itself. They are about not knowing what is on the account.

We Sort Out What You Actually Have

A GoDaddy account often holds a domain, a website, email, and a few add-ons bought years apart. Before anything moves, we list each one, what it does, and whether you still need it.

One Bill, Same Every Month

Hosting here is month to month and renews at the price you started at. Free SSL, nightly backups, and malware scanning come with every plan instead of showing up as extra lines.

Email Moved Without Breaking Sign-In

Microsoft 365 bought through GoDaddy has its own exit process, and GoDaddy warns that buying new mailboxes too early creates a second account that cannot be merged. We follow their steps in the right order.

The other side

When GoDaddy is the better choice

Leaving GoDaddy can mean rebuilding a site or moving a Microsoft 365 tenant. Here is when that work is not worth it.

  • You built the site yourself in Websites + Marketing and you like it

That builder is GoDaddy's own product, separate from its cPanel hosting. A builder site is not a folder of files, so leaving means rebuilding it. If you are happy editing it yourself, that is a good reason to stay.

  • Your Microsoft 365 email works and nobody wants to touch it

You can move your website and leave email exactly where it is. Moving email away from GoDaddy's Microsoft 365 is a process with real steps. Do it when there is a reason, not just for tidiness.

  • You have dozens of domains there

If GoDaddy is your registrar for a big portfolio and the renewals are under control, keep it. Registrar and host do not need to be the same company.

  • You want to manage everything in one login yourself

If one dashboard for domain, site, and email matters more to you than a person to call, GoDaddy does that. We are the choice for people who would rather hand it off.

Plenty of people should move only the website and leave the domain and email where they are. We will tell you which pieces are worth moving.

The move

What switching actually involves

A GoDaddy move is really three moves: website, email, and domain. They do not have to happen on the same day, and usually they should not.

We do the inventory, the build, and the DNS. You sign in to GoDaddy when a step needs the account owner.

  1. Identify the kind of GoDaddy website

If it is cPanel hosting or WordPress, we copy the files and database. If it is Websites + Marketing, there is nothing to copy, so we rebuild it here as a site you own. That one answer sets the timeline.

  2. List every product on the account

Domain, hosting, email, SSL, security, backups, and anything on auto-renew. We note what each one does so you only cancel what is no longer doing a job.

  3. Build the site here and preview it

The copy or the rebuild goes up on a temporary address. You check every page and form before anything points here.

  4. Plan the email separately

If your mailboxes are GoDaddy's Microsoft 365, we either leave them alone or follow GoDaddy's move-away process. Their guide says the licenses do not carry over, so new ones are bought only after the move finishes.

  5. Point the domain and cancel what is left

We change the DNS records at GoDaddy and watch both ends. Once the site has run here for a few days, you turn off the GoDaddy products you no longer use.

Questions

My site was made with GoDaddy's website builder. Can you move it?

Not as a copy. Websites + Marketing sites live inside GoDaddy's builder. We rebuild it here from your pages, text, and photos, and you end up with a site you can take anywhere.

Do I have to move my domain away from GoDaddy?

No. We can point your domain here and leave it registered at GoDaddy. If you later want it somewhere else, that is a separate transfer you can do any time.

Will my email stop working?

Not if the steps happen in order. If your email is Microsoft 365 through GoDaddy, it can stay there while the website moves. If you want it moved too, we plan that on its own date.

Will my site go down during the move?

Most moves can be done with little to no downtime when DNS is planned right. Your GoDaddy site stays up until the new one is approved and the records are switched.
